MOLNAR, Ronald George, age 64, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. Ron was born on August 4, 1953 in Great Falls, MT into the military home of Adeleen and George Molnar. He resided in many places growing up, including Bedford, England and Texas before settling in the greater Dayton area.
Ron graduated from Tecumseh High School and earned his BS in Accounting and MBA in Finance from Wright State University. Ron was one of the founding fathers of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity while attending WSU. He obtained his CPA license post grad and held various finance, accounting, and marketing roles at both DP&L and the Berry Company. Ron was a stock broker for Morgan Stanley prior to closing his career at TIAA-CREF as a Wealth Management Advisor.
He served as past president of the Oakwood Rotary, was on the associate board for the Dayton Art Institute and was selected as the United Way loaned executive of the year. Ron was passionate about history, particularly WWII and Vietnam, as his father proudly served our country during that time.
He was a loving son, husband, father, and friend. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col. George Molnar. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy; son, Mike of Columbus; mother, Adeleen Molnar; sister, Lt. Col. Paula Molnar of California; many, many friends; and dog, Maggie.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering. A visitation and reception will follow.
