Alexander Kyle Wilcox

June 25, 1993 — July 9, 2022

WILCOX, Alexander Kyle, age 29, beloved son and brother, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Alexander was born on June 25, 1993, in Staten Island, NY.

Alexander had a love for learning about different cultures, his favorite being Nordic and Cherokee traditions, and a passion for nature which he creatively expressed through his body art. His love for being outdoors and his vivid imagination allowed him to create mandalas out of souvenirs he would find during his travels. He believed his spirit animal to be a wolf. The Cherokee believed the wolf, or “wahya,” is associated with courage, strength, loyalty, success, and protection. Much like the wolf, Alexander shared these admirable qualities and was a protector of his family and friends, always putting others first.

Alexander was an avid music lover listening to a variety of bands including Motionless in White, Papa Roach, and Nickelback. He loved listening to the words, memorizing the lyrics, and singing along at the top of his lungs.

During his backyard wrestling career, Alexander took on the name “Risk Takin Inc.” or “RTI” and it stuck with him throughout his life. He was never afraid to start new journeys and try something new. Holding amazing leadership qualities, he excelled in the commander position on the drill team during his years in high school JROTC leading his team to second place in the state competition against 43 different schools. Following high school, Alexander joined the U.S. Army as a 68 Whiskey Combat Medic and throughout his career received many marks of recognition including The Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and an Army Service Ribbon, as well as receiving his Emergency Medical Technician Certification.

Alexander always made an impact on those he met and was particularly known for his hilarious jokes and impressions, much like his favorite comedian Jim Carrey. He was always leaving people with a smile on their faces and a lasting impression on their hearts. It is through our memories Alexander will live on. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer; his father, Ted; his sister, Victoria, and other beloved extended family.
