Alice Marie Rizzo

RIZZO, Alice Marie (nee Cowen), age 91, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Alice was born on November 23, 1927, to the late Raymond and Eva (nee Hank) Cowen, in Lower Burrell, PA.

She moved to Dayton in 1949, after marrying the love of her life, Ralph Rizzo. Alice worked as an Executive Secretary for E.F. McDonald Company for many years. She could often be found at Elder Beerman’s looking for a sale. Her strong and compassionate spirit will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Alice is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Ralph Rizzo; and siblings, Zetta Ann Solomon, and Keith Cowen. She is survived by her daughter Marybeth (Jim) Phelps; brother, Raymond (Carrie) Cowen; sister, Marcia (Dale) Geyer; and numerous extended family, including, beloved nieces, nephews, and in-laws within the Rizzo family.

A visitation will be held from 10-12pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering 45429, with a Funeral Service to follow at 12pm.

Burial at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for the phenomenal care that they provided Alice.
