age 84, of Kettering passed away Friday, September 7, 2001. He was at home and suffered a heart attack. He is survived by his loving twin daughters: Barbara and Rebecca; his son-in law Richard; and his cherished granddaughter, Katherine (Katie). Andy's wife, Helen, preceded him in death in 1991. They were married 44 memorable years. Andy worked for 43 years at NCR, starting in cash register sales in Baltimore, Maryland. He assumed increasing positions of responsibility and was Vice President of International Administration and head of Africa-Middle East prior to his retirement in 1977. He served in World War II and received a Bronze Star of merit for his service in Belgium and Germany in 1945. His army unit was the 99th Infantry Division and he annually attended their reunions. He was a member of the Boumi Temple Legion of Honor in Baltimore, Maryland, the Scottish Rite Valley of Baltimore Orient of Maryland and the Washington Lodge #003 A. F.& A. M. He was a 32nd degree Mason. In his retirement he was very active with the Dayton Council on World Affairs, the Ohio Southern District Export Council and the American Association of Independent Investors. He was born in Philadelphia in 1917, but grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He lived in Kettering for 34 years, always considering it a wonderful family town. Visitation will be at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering on Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 5-7:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Ave., Kettering at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, Sept. 12.
