Barbara H. Sundermeyer

SUNDERMEYER, Barbara (nee Hendrix) "Masy", age 81, of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born on July 29, 1931, in Dayton, OH, to the late Claude and Elizabeth Haines Hendrix. Barbara graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1949 and worked for many years as a tax secretary at local CPA firms. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Montgomery County Genealogical Society. Barbara loved collecting music boxes and baking over 700 cookies for her family trips to Myrtle Beach. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to various destinations and hosting deck parties during the summer. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, James; children, Suzanne (Greg) Denslow of Miamisburg, Sandra (James) Kauppila of Beavercreek and Sherree Etter of Miami Township; grandchildren, Lydia (Matt) Denslow-Shenk, Jeremiah Denslow, Amanda and Kathleen Kauppila and Abigail Etter; four great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Bud) Weaver; and brother, Richard (Rese) Hendrix. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. Family will greet friends two hours before the service (9-11:00 am) at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
