Charles W. "Charlie" Fortune

FORTUNE, Charles W., "Charlie" age 82, of Dayton passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He received extensive training in electronics at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and retired after 30 years of service. Charlie was an avid golfer, worked at Rolandia Golf Course and was a member of the Dayton Gym Club. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Thomas, Davis, and Robert Fortune. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Susan (David) McCubbin of Ozona, FL; son, Ronald (Peggy) Fortune of Clarksville, IN; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katharine McCubbin, John Fortune, Lori Wacker and Mary Fisher; 6 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brendan Wacker, Kelsey and Matthew Fortune and Hannah and Gracie Fisher; sister, Marjorie Dunham of Madison, WI and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, One Wyoming St., Dayton, OH 45409.
