Christopher Clark "Chris" Wallace

September 21, 1960 — December 15, 2020

WALLACE, Christopher Clark “Chris”, 60, of Oakwood, passed away on December 15, 2020. Chris had a wide circle of family and friends and will be greatly missed. Chris loved his family, his friends and coworkers, and his community. He enjoyed traveling to West Virginia and the Outer Banks.

He is survived by his son Christopher Benjamin “Ben” Wallace, former spouse Jan (Foell) Wallace, sister Jennifer Wallace, and brother I. Scott and Jill (Miller) Wallace. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews who will miss their fun Uncle Chris.

Raised in Oakwood, Chris graduated from the Ohio State University in 1983 and received a Master’s from the University of Dayton in 1988. He had a lifelong career in banking spending time at Key and PNC Bank.

Chris loved sports, especially Ohio State football and Dayton Flyers basketball. He also loved animals, especially his dogs. He was active in the community by serving on many boards, including House of Bread, and he also served as a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. His parents, Doris Johnson Wallace and Irl Conley Wallace, both of Oakwood, preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to House of Bread; 9 Orth Ave; Dayton, OH 45402; or Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami Valley; 22 S Jefferson St; Dayton, OH 45402. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, a private family service will be held to honor his life.
