Dale Ransom Skipton

SKIPTON, Dale Ransom, age 71, of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. Dale was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 3, 1950 to the late Dr. Robert and Doris (Glover) Skipton. He graduated from Meadowdale High School, attended Marietta College and Kent State, where he was present for the May 4, 1970 shootings.

Dale was a realtor who loved interior design, restoring furniture, and was an eloquent writer of poetry. Coworkers would often ask him to write their listings. He enjoyed science fiction and spy novels, collecting soap stone figurines, was a real history buff and art enthusiast.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Macallan Skipton; brother, Dave Skipton; former wife, Janet Chiarella. Private services are in the care of ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, KETTERING. Memorial contributions may be made in Dale’s name to The Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45419.
