Dale W. Martin

MARTIN, Dale W., age 90 of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010. He graduated from Williamsport Indiana High School where he lettered in Basketball; earned his Bachelor’s in Engineering from Purdue University; and served his country in the US Air Force during WWII and Korea. Dale founded RDP Corp in 1955 and proudly worked there until just a few weeks ago. He was passionate about mentoring young people and spending time at the Engineers Club, especially with his “Barn Gang”. Dale loved to travel, had been around the world on one trip and to Europe and China on several others, and he enjoyed gardening and fishing with the Fishue Group. Preceded in death by his first wife, Helen and son, Mark. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Penny; daughter, Maureen (Al) Lane; step-daughter, Mindy McNutt; daughter-in-law, Janet Martin; brother, Matt (Vivian) Martin; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM till Noon, prior to the service. Burial in David’s Cemetery. In honor of Dale, memorial contributions may be made to The Engineers Club of Dayton, 110 E.
