Donald Earl Wheatley

WHEATLEY, Donald E., age 85, of Kettering, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Donald was born to the late Patrick and Mary L. (nee Thompson) Wheatley on November 9, 1929 in Wise, VA. He graduated from River Rouge H.S. and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force until his retirement after 25 years of service. Donald also retired after 20 years of work with the Civil Service. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lenny Wheatley. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janine A. Wheatley and brother, Irv Wheatley. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Dayton and the Kettering Hospital ICU for all their compassionate care they gave to Donald. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm with military honors on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. with a visitation to follow at the funeral home until 6:00pm.
