Doris E. Sterzer

STERZER, Doris Elma, age 84, of Kettering, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on February 24th, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter G. Sterzer of Kettering; son, Michael Jay Sterzer of Tinley Park, IL, brother-in-law, Earl E. Sterzer of Dayton; cousins, nieces, nephews, a Godchild and friends she made along the way. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Eleanor (Eilerman) Schwenke. Doris was born in Troy, NY, lived most of her life in the Miami Valley-Dayton area, living for short periods in Millsboro, DE and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She enjoyed dancing, playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles, playing with young children and sewing. She will be missed forever for her cheerful demeanor, ready smile and sense of humor. Doris donated her remains to the Wright State School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Dave Tackett officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
