Dr. Charles B. Sabiston, Jr.

SABISTON, Jr. Dr Charles B, age 87, passed away on June 16, 2021.

Charles was born in Wake Forest, NC to Charles B Sabiston Sr. and Minnie V Sabiston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his former wife and Mother of his daughters Shirley H. Sabiston. He met Shirley in Germany while they both served in the United States Air Force.

Charles left this world surrounded by family and friends to include his daughters Alice Miller and Laura Beyer and his Grandaughter Leah Beyer. His dear sister Virginia Palmer was able to make the trip from Boston, Mass to be with him as well.
Charles had four Grandchildren, Hilary, Leah, Ian and Max and one Great Grandson Mando Phillipe born in 2021.

Charles loved his family. He loved to read, listen to classical music, ballroom dance, play bridge and go to church with his friend Melvia. He was a dedicated Father and his Grandchildren called him G-Diddy. He loved Hillsdale College, MI where both his daughters graduated. He was an accomplished dentist, teacher and researcher during his career at the University of Iowa. During his time in Iowa he learned how to sail and took his daughters skiing and to many Hawkeye football games.

Services and Disposition for Dr. Charles B Sabiston Jr. will be held privately in Wake Forest, NC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
