LYNN, Elizabeth “Liz” M., age 89, of Kettering, formerly of Beavercreek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was born April 21, 1929 in Paducah, KY. Liz was a vibrant, kind and caring friend to all. Her joy was sharing her faith and embracing everyone she met. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church for 55 years. The first 31 years of her membership, Liz held a special role as a helpmate to the love of her life, husband Charles Lynn the founding pastor of Faith Baptist Church. Liz was a volunteer at the Kettering Hospital Gift Shop for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Charles Lynn in 1994; devoted parents, George and Mary Hammond; 6 brothers, 3 sisters and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Favor. Liz is survived by her daughter, Patty and her husband, Gary Favor; granddaughter, Amy Cook; grandson, Ryan and his wife, Ember Favor; 3 great-grandsons, Dylan Cook, Coal Favor and Carson Favor; 1 sister, Mary Youngblood and special nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
The family will greet friends from 11:00am-1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church, 4215 Indian Ripple Road, Beavercreek. Burial will follow in Valley View Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Missions, 4215 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45440.
