Harry Steele Price Iii

PRICE, Harry Steele III, age 69, passed away in Scottsdale, AZ on January 9, 2008. Steele, an Oakwood native, was born April 19, 1938 to the late Harry S. Jr. and Janet S. Price; he lived in Oakwood and Kettering, moving to Bellbrook in 1976 and then to Arizona ten years ago. He attended Oakwood High School; Phillips Academy, Andover, MA; and Northwood School, Lake Placid, NY. After military service in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961, he attended the University of Cincinnati, earning his Bachelors degree in engineering in 1965 and a Masters degree in business administration in 1967. In Dayton he worked at Price Brothers Company, later forming his own company, Engineered Wire Products. He was a member of Fairhaven Church in Centerville, Dayton Rotary Club and the Miami Valley Hunt. After moving to Arizona he was a member of Scottsdale Bible Church and enjoyed participating in the mens group Cross Trainers. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; sister Pamela Houk, of Oakwood; brother Marlay Blackwood, of Versailles, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Harry Steele Price IV and Kelly; a granddaughter, Paula Jane; and other grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, and Juliette. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Tobin. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00PM at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville, OH 45459 with Rev. Jim Futrell officiating. Steeles family will receive friends from 12-1:00PM also at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery immediately following the service.
