Herman J. ''Pete'' Buthker

age 79 of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at Hospice of Dayton. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942-1946, retiring from WPAFB. Pete was a member of Beavercreek VFW Post #8312. Survived by his loving wife, Margaret; 8 children, Victoria Harroun and her husband Douglas of Federalway, WA, Gregory Buthker and his wife Bonnie of Brookville, David Buthker and his wife Jeannette of Birch Run, MI, Sue Liles and her husband Bill of Dayton, Judith McCormick and her husband James of Miamisburg, Robert Kallas and his wife Anne of Ventura, CA, Jon Kallas and his wife Suzette of Dayton, and Richard Kallas and his wife Marilyn of Springboro; a brother, Harold Buthker of Naples, FL; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; uncle, Harold Bailey and aunt, Adele Bailey, both of Owensboro, KY; an aunt, Helen Miller of Bellefontaine; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. David E. Bickett officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 P.M., Friday in the funeral home. Pete was a loving husband, father and friend. He will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dayton for their loving care.
