Inez E. Noble

May 20, 1921 — January 21, 2018

Inez Elaine (Brown) Noble, 96, joined her Savior on Sunday, January 21 in Dublin, OH. Inez was born on May 20, 1921 to George D. and Blanche I. (Granger) Brown in Zanesville, OH. She was the ninth of eleven children. Inez spent her early childhood in Zanesville, and later on a farm near Adamsville, OH. She recounted fond memories of sharing large family meals, singing around the piano, making swimming holes, and tending to her personal chore caring for the chickens. After graduating from Adamsville High School, she joined the war effort at the Goodyear Aircraft Corporation in Akron, OH, where she assembled landing gear for the F4U Corsair. After the war, she met and married David W. Bill Noble and had three sons. A loving wife and mother were her greatest roles. Inez supported Bill, not only in the day-to-day of married life, but through 20 years of service in the Army Reserve. She took on the role of primary caretaker for her mother-in-law and would serve her lovingly for the next 19 years. Inez and Bill cheered their sons through many seasons of peewee and Fairmont West High School football, and Inez was known for washing their uniforms twice a day during August two-a-day practices. Inez was also an avid Buckeye football fan. Retirement were truly golden years for Inez and Bill. They square danced with the Kettering Merry Mixers, traveled extensively with the retirees group from Corinth Presbyterian Church (members since 1968), and were active in the community and in the lives of their children and grandchildren. Most recently, Inez was part of the community at Edgewater Place and a member at Plain City United Methodist Church in Plain City, OH where she made many friends, due in no small part to her life-long positive outlook and joyful disposition. Inez will be remembered as a tall, elegant woman, who was best known for her humble service, consistent fortitude, and unwavering faith in God. Inez is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years Bill, and her siblings. She is survived by her three beloved sons: Keith (Janet), David (Mary Kay), and John (Paula) Noble; ten grandchildren: Andria (Greg) Knupp, Emily (Todd) Wyatt, Sean, Seth (Cheryl), Kate (Owen) Murphy, Melissa (Mark) Conrad, Ryan (Lindsay), John (engaged, Morgan), Joel, and Allison (Jordan) Stanley; 11 great grandchildren: Paige, Grant, Quinne, Adelynn, Wade, Violet, Eli, Mary Frances, Weston, Michael, and Lydia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, Jan. 25 and 10:00-11:00 am Friday, Jan. 26 at Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, 45429.
