James C. Skaggs

Skaggs, James Clinton, "J.C" age 77, resident of Manchester, OH and formerly of Carlisle, OH has passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013. J.C was born on April 13, 1936 to the late Drenna and Lillian Skaggs in Hico, WV. He graduated from Nuttall High School, WV then joined the Army Reserves. J.C worked for DP&L for 40 years starting out as a "meter reader" then worked his way up to Operations Manager and revised the sliding pressure system. He was a man of God who enjoyed being outside motorcycle riding, golfing, and spending time with his family. J.C was a member of Wrightsville Methodist Church in Wrightsville, OH, Past Master Manchester Lodge # 317 F. & A.M., AASR, Valley of Cincinnati, O.E.S., Booster Association in Carlisle, OH and was involved with starting pee-wee football, where he also coached. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Joe and Nellie Skaggs. J.C is survived by his wife Kay L.; sons, Ralph C. Skaggs and Harold K. (Lisa) Skaggs; grandchildren, Jeffery (Lindsay) Skaggs, Allen Conner, Christopher Skaggs, Kayla Skaggs; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Cameron, Caleb, and Cailley Skaggs; brothers, John "Calvin" (Joanna) Skaggs and Kyle (Mary) Skaggs; sister, Carolyn and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will greet friends on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, with Masonic services beginning at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2013 at 11:00am, also at the funeral home.
