Jeffrey Scot Wray

WRAY, Jeffrey S., “Jeff” age 56, of Kettering formerly of Dayton passed away, Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Kettering Medical Center. He was a 1971 graduate of Fairmont West and received his Bachelor degree of Architecture in 1977 from the University of Cincinnati. Jeff was president and owner of Jeff Wray Architects. He was a member of A.I.A. (American Institute of Architects), Preservation Dayton, Ohio Historic Society, National Preservation Association, and the Downtown Dayton Partnership, the Fairmont Football Parents Association and the Fairmont Boosters Association. Jeff was an expert of Preservation and Adaptive Reuse of Historic Buildings. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Wray Sr. in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Anita; son, Evan Jeffrey Wray; daughter, Madison Wray; mother, Dorothy Wray; brother, Gordon Wray Jr.; sisters, Mindy (Odell) Sloane, Lori Mendel, April (Mark) Hanauer and Suzanne (Aaron) Gord; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Gale “Big G.” Garman and numerous very close friends. Jeff had a great passion for life and lived it to the fullest. His children and wife were his world. He was the epitome of love and giving. Memorial services for friends and family will be held Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Dr. Brooks Heck officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.
