Jewel Garrett

GARRETT, Jewel, age 94, of Bellbrook, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Jewel was born on April 21, 1924, to the late Samuel and Rhoda (Adams) Powers, in Colony, KY. She left Kentucky in 1945 and moved to Springfield, OH where she met her future husband Fred Garrett. Jewel had a great love of all children, she loved her flowers and garden. She loved to sit at the kitchen window watching the different birds.

Jewel is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Fred E. Garrett; 7 sisters and 1 brother; and by her loving parents. Jewel is survived by her son, Eugene Dale Garrett; grandson, John Garrett; great- granddaughter, Kelsey Garrett; great-great-grandson, Kendall Garrett; 3 brothers; daughter-in-law, Sharon Garrett; and numerous extended family.

A visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Monday, January 7, 2019. A funeral service will follow the visitation. Burial in Springboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the memorial fund.
