BARRY, John L., “Jack”, age 76, of Riverside passed away Monday, December 22, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Jack was a graduate of the University of Dayton. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Cost Analyst after 30 years of service. Jack served in the Navy. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. In particular with his tomato plants and love of flowers. He was the last surviving sibling in his family. Jack was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary in 1957 and his parents, Augustine and Luella Barry. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rita Barry (Schmid); son, Kevin (Faye) Barry of Beavercreek; 3 daughters, Kathleen (Stephen) Arndts of Oakwood, Sheila (Michael) Harnett of Columbus and Maureen (David) Bowman of Allen, TX;8 grandchildren, Meghan & Nathan Arndts, Madalyn & Ryan Barry, Kelly & Patrick Harnett, Colleen & Alannah Bowman; nephew, William (Joan) Barnett of Lebanon, OH; and many other nieces and nephews. Memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 27 at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Riverside. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In memory of Jack, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 or St. Vincent Hotel, 212 W. Fifth St., Dayton, OH 45402.
