On Friday, December 21, 2018, Judith Chaffin, “Mom” to two, “Gma Judy” to most, “best friend” to many, and “Pumpkin Lady” to the city of Dayton and beyond, passed away peacefully at the age of 77.

Judy will forever be remembered by her son Gregory Chaffin, her daughter Jenny Palmer and husband Randy, and her two granddaughters Adrienne and Madeline. She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Charlotte Landsiedel, sister Lillian Miller, and brother Harry Landsiedel.

Judy graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and retired from Hilltop Basic Resources. Her passions included spending time at the beach, fishing, baking and decorating cakes, cooking extravagant meals, throwing parties for her loved ones, and playing dominoes. Judy impacted every single person she met and knew no stranger.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd, Dayton, Ohio, 45406. The service will begin at 1 p.m. and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Please join family and friends in the celebration of Judy’s life from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park N., Dayton, OH 45405.

Memorial donations in memory of Judy may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
