Keith Trimble

Byron Keith Trimble, but to all who knew him he was just Keith, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 peacefully in his home in Beavercreek, Ohio after a three year battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.

He was a graduate of Beavercreek High School, Class of 1976. He received a BS degree in Marketing from Wright State University in 1980. Keith worked at Plumber’s Supply Company of Dayton, Ohio for over 20 years.

Keith was an active member of Eastmont Free Will Baptist Church, Dayton, Ohio, for over 45 years. At Eastmont he served as church pianist, Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, Clerk, Treasurer, Choir Director, Easter and Christmas Cantata Director. He loved the church and all the people that attended there over the years.

Keith was a very talented pianist. Over the years he played for various gospel groups such as the Golden Tones and Harbor Lights. In his early twenties he played the piano in a cameo performance with the award winning Kingsmen Quartet in old Memorial Hall in Dayton. He loved Southern Gospel Music and went to their National Quartet Convention almost every year. He also was a piano tuner and teacher.

Keith loved to cook. His speciality was his ‘secret recipe’ pizza. They were fantastic! His homemade Christmas cookies were awesome and Thanksgiving at his house was a wonderful family tradition.

His other interests included photography, traveling to the Smokey and Appalachia Mountains, traveling to light houses, watching the original Star Trek TV show and other old shows from that same era.

Keith is preceded in death by his father Byron Trimble, his beloved grandparents, Ocal and Ruth Dawson and younger brother Kevin. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, of 39 years; sons, Timothy (Jessica) and Christopher; two beautiful granddaughters, Caitlyn and Abigail known as “Papaw’s Girls”; mother Geneva; brothers Mike (Terry) and Donny (Stephanie). He was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 17 with the Funeral service to be held at 12:00 PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio with an internment service to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, Beavercreek, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.routsong.com.
