Lane Powell

POWELL, Lane O’Rourke, 62, of Centerville, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. He was a loving husband of 42 years to his wife, Angela Powell and wonderful father to Justin Powell and Jessica Marchese.

He will be remembered as setting an example for his children, making ordinary days special for his loved ones with surprise flowers, notes or texts and working to make life fulfilling for his family. He focused his life on helping others through work as a wealth advisor in a company he started over 18 years ago, volunteering at various organizations and church where he was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish. Lane spent his free time with family, fishing with his brother, Ed Powell, enjoying nature, reading, growing his faith in God, listening to an immense collection of music and filling every room he walked into with laughter. The smiles he brought to people everywhere he went will be missed and cherished in memory.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 10 at 11:00am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, 9579 Yankee Rd, Springboro, OH 45066, with a live stream available on the parish website, www.stmaryassumption.church for those unable to attend in person. A reception will follow in the lower level.
