Loralee Jeanne Weaver

April 16, 1947 — November 4, 2021

Early on Thursday, November 4, 2021, after a long battle with cancer, and a quick decline, Loralee Jeanne Weaver passed away at home in Springboro, Ohio, at the age of 74 with her daughter by her side.

Loralee was born April 16, 1947, in Youngstown, OH, to Howard and Alice (nee Crum) Dietzel. She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1965 and began a lifelong calling as a nurse after graduating from St. Luke’s School of Nursing of Cleveland, OH, in 1968. She married Joe Weaver in 1972 in Austintown, OH.

She found joy in travel; Europe and Hawaii after college, golf getaways with friends, family vacations with her daughters and grandchildren through the years, and her achievement of a lifelong dream of visiting the Holy Land. She expressed joy to God as a member of choirs over the years at Fairhaven Church, Austintown Community Church, and various community choirs. She gave joy through countless quilting projects; quilts to remember, quilts to comfort, quilts for hope, and quilts to show love. She was joy to family; both her faith family and her extended family. She was a caregiver and nurturer here entire life. She was a confident and mentor to many. She started small groups through church, she cooked meals to share in joy and sorrow, she wrote notes to connect. She did her best to be Christ’s love in the world.

Loralee was independent until the end. Never rattled, she trusted God’s plan and was ready face life’s challenges. She faced all adversity with the attitude of, “we will figure it out.”

She could not say “No,” and as a result she was a volunteer and leader in many organizations. There were no friends, only family. She reveled in those families at Fairhaven Church, Austintown Community Church, the My Material Girls quilters, Vineyard Downtown Help Center in Franklin, the Youngstown Saxon Club, the Austintown Fitch Band, and wherever her life took her, or her children drug her. She made a family everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Neville “Dietz” Dietzel, and husband, Joseph “Joe” Weaver. Her loss will be felt many friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her daughters and their families: Wendy and her husband Andy Blumberg and grandchildren, David and Jessie of Springboro, OH, and Mandy and her husband Cris Ransdell and grandchildren Jackie and Alice of Chester, NJ. She leaves behind Wayne Heath her fiancée.
