Margaret "Peggy" Ellen Hanson

HANSON, Margaret E. “Peggy” (Henderson), age 78, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Peggy was born in Lakeland, Florida on July 8, 1942, and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Home Economics, she was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta, and she was a district manager at Frigidaire for many years and later for White Westinghouse.

Beloved wife of the late Robert S. Hanson, and loving stepmother of the late Deborah Hartigan (Rick). Peggy will be memorialized by her stepchildren, James Hanson (Kathleen), Pamela Ring (Paul), Cindy Hanson (Bob Mehlick), Sandy McGuire (Derrick), and Stephen Hanson; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Peggy had a favorite niece, Tracey who she spoke of often and was very special to her during her life.

Peggy and Robert loved entertaining friends and neighbors, she was a wonderful gourmet cook, and they loved spending time together in Siesta Key each year. Peggy had a wonderful kind heart and would help anyone in need, she never asked for anything in return. Peggy and Robert were married for 31 years, she took loving care of him, for which his family will be eternally grateful for.

There will be a private family-only graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. Services are in the care of ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, KETTERING.
