Marjorie Marie Raley-Moder passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. She was 88 years old. Marjorie was born August 5, 1924 in Marysville, Ohio, and spent most of her life living in the Dayton area as a resident of Oakwood. Marjorie was an excellent homemaker. She spent her life taking care of her husband and nurturing her three children and six grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and pie baker and loved to make dinner for family occasions. Marjorie had a deep devotion for her family, often saying that her greatest joy in life was just spending time with them. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Lewis and Nettie Raley, brothers, Errol, Beryl and Bob Raley. She is survived by her daughter and two sons; Sharon and her husband Len of Westerville, OH, son Gerald and his wife Kristine of Parish, FL and son Jeffery and his wife Shirley of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren Timothy Calland of Atlanta. GA, Tiffany Wagner (Jubal) of Westerville, Michael Moder of Dayton and David Moder (LeAnn) of Tampa FL, Katheryn and Alyssia Moder of Charlotte, NC, Jeff Madama (Jenny) of Hilliard, Amy Madama of Westerville and great grandchildren, Courtney and Jesse Calland of Atlanta, GA, Jaret Wagner of Westerville, Nicholas and Ryan Madama of Hilliard, Madison Madama of Westerville and Riley Moder of Charlotte, NC and numerous extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend its deep appreciation and gratitude for the care and concern provided by numerous members of the staff and residents at Friendship Village, as well as, the caregivers at Mount Carmel, St. Ann's hospital of Westerville. We will never be able to thank you enough for the special care you provided our mother. Interment will be held on Tuesday, February, 19th at Woodlands Cemetery located at 118 Woodland Ave. in Dayton, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, OH with Rev. Dr. Brooks Heck presiding. Family will greet friends one hour before the service. A Memorial Service will also be held at Friendship Village, 5800 Forest Hills Blvd., Columbus, OH on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 2:00pm with Father Kevin Maney presiding. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the Hospice fund, Mount Carmel Foundation at www.mountcarmelfoundation.org.
