Mary B. Stratis

STRATIS, Mary (Bimbas), “old enough to know better” of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the very beloved daughter of the late George & Anastasia Bimbas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Stratis and is survived by her son, Greg (Lorraine) and daughter, Stacey.

Mary graduated from Kokomo Indiana High School and Butler University. She dedicated her life to teaching future generations and was beloved by her students. The majority of her career was teaching at Northridge Public Schools. She influenced her students and encouraged careers and adventures. Even after her retirement, numerous former students kept in contact with her over the decades which was a true testament to her passion and impact on future community leaders.

She was involved in civic and community organizations. Mary enjoyed the arts, including dancing, theatre & music. She traveled the world and was an energetic, fun-loving lady, who was devoted to her family and friends.

The family will have a private gathering to share their memories & celebrate her life. We thank Harborchase of Beavercreek and Hospice of Dayton for their assistance.
