Mary "Christine" Messer

MESSER, Mary “Christine”, age 90, of Washington Township, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born on November 12, 1928 to the late Robert L. and Emeley (Queener) Violet, in Campbell County, TN. Her life was spent taking care of her family, friends, and home. Christine was forever independent and always cared for others. As a talented seamstress and quilter her hands were always busy. She was loved dearly and beyond measure by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Christine was a faithful follower of Christ, who looked forward with great anticipation to her eternal home, and reunion with her beloved husband, Eddie. She was a member The Gathering in Centerville. Christine is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edward J. Messer; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters. Christine is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Frank) Schneider and Sherry (Jim) Reveal; grandchildren, Tara (Wally), Brent (Candi), Abbie (David), Renee (Merle), and Amy (Mike); great-grandchildren, Riley, Piper, Eliza, Jaden, Jordan, Carissa, Matthew, and Megan; sister, Jean Painter; and numerous extended family and special friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A Funeral Service will be held the following day at The Gathering, 8911 Yankee St, Dayton, OH 45458, at 11:00am. Burial at David’s Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Miller Farm Place and Kindred Hospice (especially “January”) for the excellent care they gave Christine.
