Melva Marie Jourdan

JOURDAN, Melva M., age 95, passed away on September 20, 2015 at Sanctuary of Dayton. She was born to Frank and Margaret Filoso on September 25, 1919 in Dayton. Melva married William E. Jourdan in 1950 and took pride in her serving as homemaker to her husband and other family members. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Melva is preceded in death by her husband, her brother Louis, and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Dolly Bernhard; niece, Karen (Thomas) Scheid of Columbus; great nieces and nephew; and special neighbors and friends, Janine and Christina Chaffin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, September 25, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St, Dayton. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Melva's name to any charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the Sanctuary of Dayton and hospice care for the compassion and kindness.
