Michael F. West

October 3, 1964 — August 1, 2021

WEST, Michael F. age 56, of Beavercreek, formerly of Spring Valley, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2021. Michael was born on October 3, 1964 to the late Charles and Mary Ann (Trimbach) West, in Dayton, OH. He grew up in and around Spring Valley before graduating from the Greene County Career Center. Following his education Michael worked for both Tremac and Bloomingberg as a tool and dye operator for a number of years. During this time he developed a talent for creating wire sculpture art, which he would carefully craft and gift to his family and friends. By far his favorite career was as a horse trainer in Ohio, which fueled his lifelong love of being outdoors.

He could often be found mushroom hunting, watching a horse race, or simply enjoying nature. When life limited his outside play, he found great joy in watching his favorite old sci-fi flicks like Star Wars, Star Trek and the Twilight Zone. Michael was also an avid guitar player, and had been consistently practicing since he was 16 years old. He also loved a good game of wit and enjoyed many games of chess and poker with his friends and family. Michael’s witty and fun personality will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Patrick West.

Michael is survived by son, Baylen (Alissa) West; step-son, John Clark; siblings, Tony West and Anna Marie West; and friend, Thomas Marshall.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to ASPCA, www.aspca.org or Xenia Fish Pantry, 774 Cincinnati Ave, Xenia, OH 45385.
