BERGER, Nancy Jean, age 77, of Kettering, passed away peacefully at Johnstown Pointe Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was a life-time member of Fairmont Presbyterian church and a lifelong resident of Kettering. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1962 and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Denison University in 1966, where she was also a member of Alpha Pi Sorority. Upon graduation, Nancy went to New York City and completed a one-year program at Katharine Gibbs School. She worked for three years at the National Cash Register (NCR) Co. Headquarters before starting a family. During her years at home with her four young boys, she volunteered many hours in the Kettering Schools PTA. After raising her children, she took the position as the lead secretary at John F. Kennedy Elementary School for twelve years before retiring in 2002.
She is preceded in death by her parents, June and Edward Rosenquist. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bob Berger; four sons, Robert (Kim Osborn), Gregory (Lori), Daniel (Melissa), and Douglass (Lauren); grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Brett, Abby, Rowan, Marcus, Myra, Tyler, Lucas, Addelyn, and Elliot; brothers, Edward (Kaye) and Niles (Suzanne).
Family will greet friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm Monday, September 20 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
