Norma Jean Miller

MILLER, Norma Jean C., age 85, of Washington Township passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home after an 8 year fight with breast cancer. She accomplished what she wanted in life and said all her good-byes. Jean was born August 15, 1927 in Rush County, IN to the late Dorothy (Leisure) and Louis Campbell. She was a graduate of Dixon High School in Preble County and Ohio State University. Norma taught Home Economics at Xenia High School until 1954. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell W. Miller who passed January 11, 1999 and a sister, Reita Henderson. Jean is survived by her daughters, Cynthia L. Spargur (David Dalhamer) of Bellbrook, OH, and Julie (Norbert) Owart of Ellensburg, WA, son, Jay (Mary Ann) Miller of Dalonega, GA, grandchildren, Hanna Owart of Yakima, WA and Birkin Owart of Ellensburg, WA, and Sarah L. Spargur of Spring Valley, OH who was her primary caregiver in her last year. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Judy) Campbell; sister, Alice (Melvyn) Roquemore and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially Estella Anderson of Centerville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville. Family will greet friends following the service until 6:00pm.
