Patsy Kendig

KENDIG, Patience “Patsy”, age 90, passed away peacefully at Bethany Lutheran Village on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Patsy was born on May 16, 1928 in Topeka, Kansas and was a resident of Fairborn and Centerville, Ohio.

Patience was a lifelong homemaker and never met a stranger. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn and David’s Church in Kettering. Patsy served as past President of the Fairborn Rotary Anns, former Chairman of Ladies Golf Association at Greene Country Club. In 1957 she organized the Fairborn Child Conservation League, and volunteered at Miami Valley Hospital for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Dawson Kendig; sister, Helen Leland; brother, Robert Manley; dear friend, Dr. Jack Daugherty.

Patsy is survived by sons, Joel Kendig of Dayton, OH, Chris (Sandra Ralston) Kendig of Isle of Palms, SC; grandsons, Brad & Kyle (Stephanie) Kendig of Henderson, NV.

Graveside service will be scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Byron’s Cemetery, time pending.
