Paul W. Kronauge

October 19, 1932 — January 4, 2008

Kronauge Jr., Paul W., age 75, of Centerville, formerly of Oakwood, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008. He was a 1950 graduate of Oakwood High School and attended the University of Dayton. Paul served in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean conflict. He worked as a salesman for ARCO Tool and Die before starting his own business, "Strip-tique" antique restoration, in the Oregon District. Paul served as the first president of the Oregon District Business Association. He spent too much time at Kramer's with his old cronies, his Old Milwaukee, and his pack of Marlboro's. Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy, in 2006. He is survived by his children; Paul "PK" (Corrine) W. Kronauge III of Redwood City, CA; Patricia (Jerry) Gulker of Hobe Sound, FL; Pamela Marshall of Centerville, OH; Polly (Richard Choate) Kronauge of Jackson, WY; and Penny (John Mott) Kronauge of Centerville, OH; and his 5 grandchildren who called him "Fa"; Katerina and Anika Kronauge; Kelsey and Kirk Marshall; and Anuhealani Gulker. Paul is also survived by his sister, Sue (Bob) Wells; Sister-in-laws, Jinny (John) Berten of Cincinnati, OH and Susie (Terry) Heinz of Charleston, SC and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Church, 218 K. St., Dayton, with Father Joseph Goetz officiating. A celebration of Paul's life to follow immediately after at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. The family requests everyone wear "Paul" attire (jeans and t-shirts) to both the mass and celebration. Private committal of cremated remains will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice, 3077 Kettering Blvd., Ste 100, Moraine, OH 45439 or the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton, OH 45418. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to his devoted and loving caregiver Ella Miller and Southern Care Hospice.
