Paula Jo Mayer

MAYER, Paula Jo, age 88, of Delaware, formerly of the Kettering and Centerville area, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Paula was born on November 7, 1925 in Cincinnati, OH. At the time of her birth she was adopted into the loving care of the Smiglewicz family who kindly raised her with much care. Paula was a founding member of Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren and a member of Harvest Chapter #564 Order of the Eastern Star, Azizah Temple #57 Antioch Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 2001. Paula is survived by her children, Carol (Dennis) Greene of Columbus and Bob (Pamela) Mayer of Pittsburgh; 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; and 4 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Family will greet friends from 10:00-11:00am on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held following at 11:00am with Pastor Larry Tyner officiating. Burial will be held at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens in Springboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
