R. Lucille Rogers

ROGERS, R. Lucille, age 96 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Trinity Community Nursing Home. Lucille was a longtime believer of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Shirley Murphy; loving husband of 47 years, Charles Rogers; grandson, Charles Keith Rogers; 3 brothers and 2 sisters; and daughters-in-law, Juanita Rogers and Jewel Rogers. She is survived by her sons, Larry Rogers of Danville, KY, Ellis (Cora) Rogers of Kettering and Walter Alan (Amanda) Rogers of Kettering; grandchildren, James, David, Daniel, Corey, Krista, and Braedon Rogers, Laura Goolsby, Jessica DeGenova, and Kayla Bell; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Gene (Janet) and Dean (Linda) Murphy; sisters, Ruth Sherrill and Geneva (Ed) Hitchcock; and many nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 11:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Favor officiating. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
