Richard Lloyd Beechey

BEECHEY, Richard Lloyd, age 88, formerly of Kettering, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born in Morris Run, PA on October 20, 1932 to the late Morgan and Ellen Beechey. Richard was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kettering American Legion Post #598, and DESE Golf League in which he enjoyed weekly. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Richard worked as a Supervisor in Electronics Parts Control at DESE. He was there in 1963 when they started and was there until its closing, when he retired. Richard travelled a lot for work and earned several performance awards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and 3 sisters. Richard is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Marian; children, Elizabeth “Beth” Beechey of Columbus, Kevin (Anna) Beechey of PA, Barbara Beechey of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Michael, Morgan, and Ellen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends from 1-2PM on Saturday, August 7 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E Stroop Rd, Kettering. Funeral Services will begin at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, consider memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association, 31 W Whipp Rd, Dayton, OH 45459.
