HALL, Robert, "Kahuna/Captain" age 89, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, August 04, 2014.
Bob served in the United States Army during WWII in the Bomb Disposal Squad. He worked for many years as a Construction Superintendent, where he built many buildings in the Dayton area, including the schools his children attended, Fairmont East and Indian Riffle, as well as several schools for children with special needs. He also rebuilt the well-known Chemineer Building in downtown Dayton.
Bob enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends at the senior center, his dogs, and was known for his sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Hall; brother, Frank Hall; and sister, Dorris Beale. Robert is survived by his children, Bob (Dianna) Hall, Debbie Hall Swanson, Dianne Hall, Becky (Steve) Rabe, Bill Hall, and Beth Hall; 9 grandchildren; and 3 dogs.
Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, August 9, 2014 also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
