Roscoe G. Marah

MARAH, Roscoe Glenwood, age 91, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Roscoe was born to the late Roscoe C. and Audrey (nee Vandiver) Marah on December 5, 1923 in Bonn Terre, MO. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech. Roscoe was past President, Governor and Big Hatter of The American Business Club. He was a former Vice President of the Milton Athletic Club, assistant Scout Master of Oakwood Troop 11, and a member of Amvets Post 2003 and VFW Post 2800. Roscoe enjoyed spending his time bowling, golfing, pitching horseshoes, and playing cards. He served in the Army Air Corps. during WWII at Wright Field. Roscoe is preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemarie Marah and second wife, Nell Marah; son, Kevin and brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Richard (Joyce Ann) Marah of FL; granddaughter, Jessica Lee; great-grandchildren, Kalei, Alissa and J.R.; half-brother, Donald Marah; partner, Pat Aydelott, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. A committal service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 12 at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45409.
