LONG, Ruby E., age 94, of Kettering, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2015. Ruby was born to the late Roy D. and Lena (nee May) Wilson on November 20, 1920 in Lewis County, KY. She married the love of her life, the late John W. Long on January 1, 1941. They were married for 70 years when he passed away in 2011. Ruby is also preceded in death by her grandson, Jason W. Long in 1997. She is survived by her son, Ronald W. Long and his wife, Candice of Kettering, OH; grandson, Justin T. Long and his wife, Kelly and great-grandchildren, Kyler, Jamison, and Lainey Long all of Oakwood, OH; also survived by sisters, Mary Graves of Bellbrook, OH and Phyllis Osborne of Maysville, KY; and brothers, Clinton Wilson of Hillsboro, OH and Denny Wilson of Versailles, KY. Ruby was a quiet, gentle woman who loved her family deeply and with much devotion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at David's Mausoleum, 4600 Mad River Rd., Kettering, OH. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at David's Mausoleum.
