Sandra Jodine Wagner

WAGNER, Sandra Jodine, age 67, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. She was born on September 2, 1949. Sandy graduated from Trotwood Madison High School in 1967 and worked for the City of Dayton Police Department from 1975-2006. It is there where she found her calling in helping others. Sandra was always kind and generous, helping and giving to those less fortunate. She was dedicated to helping a Native American tribe out west and numerous animal rescue organizations, specifically SICSA. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and was an only child. In 1975, she was welcomed in with loving arms and thought of as adopted into the family of Joy Rogers. Sandra frequently vacationed with Joy and her family, visiting Hawaii, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, and traveling on many different cruise ships. She was known to Joys family as Aunt Sandy and became one of their own. Sandra was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active in church functions. A visitation will be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering with a memorial service following at 5:00pm with Pastor Ron Justice officiating. A private committal of cremated remains will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Ave, Kettering, OH 45429.
