Setsuko Mineshima

MINESHIMA, Setsuko, Age 86 of Tokyo, Japan passed away on January 20, 2015 in Dayton, OH. Setsuko was a devout practicing Soka Gakkai International Buddhist member of 60 years. She and her husband, Hiromichi Mineshima took up residence in Dayton, Ohio in 1990. Setsuko enjoyed crafting, sewing, and anything that involved her hands. She had a great appreciation for high quality and attention to detail. Setsuko was known for being quite fashionable and always smiling. Those who were fortunate to have met her would find themselves sharing her radiant smile in kind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiromichi Mineshima; infant son, Masahiro Mineshima; brother, Seisho Miyairi; and her son-in-law, Edward Alan Weaver. Survived by brother, Toshimitsu Miyairi; eldest daughter, Yuko (Mineshima) Weaver; her 3 children: grandson, Edward H. Weaver; his wife, Lisa (nee Harshman); granddaughter, Michelle Weaver; grandson, Eric Weaver; his wife, Rebecca (nee Strobridge); and great grandson, Arthur Weaver Survived by son, Tatsuyuki Mineshima; his wife, Hiromi (nee Yamazaki); their 3 children: granddaughter, Shizuka Mineshima; grandson, Hikaru Mineshima; and grandaughter, Mei Mineshima. Survived by youngest daughter, Reiko Mineshima; her 5 children: granddaughter, Chisato (nee Seki); her husband, Tatsuya Ito; their child: great granddaughter, Runa Ito; grandson, Masahiro Seki; his wife, Sayuri; their 2 children: great grandson, Sota Seki; great grandson, Yuta Seki; grandaughter, Satomi (nee Seki); her husband, Satoshi Kato; their 3 children: great granddaughter, Minami; great grandson, Kokomu Kato; great grandson, Raimu Kato; granddaughter, Miyuki (nee Seki); her husband, Takuya Hiranuma; their 2 children: great granddaughter, Yua Hiranuma; great grandson, Io Hiranuma; and grandson, Yukihiro Seki. Family will greet friends from 2-3pm with services after at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. Burial in Oasis of Eternity in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, CA.
