Susan A. Ernst

ERNST, Susan A., age 74, of Miamisburg passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Syracuse, NY to the late Frank and Margaret Carty. Sue received her Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Syracuse University. She worked for Babolat-Maillot-Witt during the 80's and was an Officer for the Dayton Childbirth Education Association and the International Childbirth Association. Sue was a past-member of Church of the Incarnation and current member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. She was known to be feisty and outgoing with a love of helping others. Sue had a deep love for cats and was involved in the Cat Fancier's Association. She was also a long time, devoted fan of the U.D. Flyers. She is preceded in death by her sister, Gail Izzo. Sue is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Maryellen Burns) Ernst of Chicago, Lisa (Bruce Siler) Ernst and Katie Siler of West Milton and Leslie (Robert) Alford of Indianapolis; and grandchild, Joseph Alford. Family will greet friends at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pk., Miami Twp. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30am. Family and friends are then invited to a luncheon at the church. Burial at David's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice of Dayton and the Kettering Medical Center for all their care and compassion.
