SCALZO, Vittorio Egidio, age 83, of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. Vittorio was born January 21, 1938 in Italy to Giacomo and Maria (Talarico) Scalzo. Vittorio came to America at the age of 14 and lived with his uncle, Sabatine Talarico in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
In 1969 Vittorio found his love for God and was baptized in to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was firm in his faith, and evangelized for more than 45 years. Vittorio always had a song on his lips and often sang or whistled his favorite Italian songs to his family and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Vittorio is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Antonio and Ettore; and sister, Norina. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dolores; children, Donna (Greg) Lawrence, Paul Scalzo, and Victor (Nichole) Scalzo; grandchildren, Courtney, Dominic, and Ava; brother, Mario (Leslie) Scalzo; sister-in-law, Franca Scalzo, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will greet friends from 10:00am-11:00am Thursday, November 11 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. For those unable to attend, Funeral Services will be livestreamed on Routsong Funeral Home's YouTube page.
Memorial contributions may be made in Vittorio’s name to Centerville Seventh-day Adventist Church Building Fund, 456 W Spring Valley Pike, Centerville, OH 45458.
