HAMON, William Arthur “Bill”, age 82, of Miamisburg, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Bill was born to the late Arthur and Regina (Jordan) Hamon on May 14, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH. He attended Withrow H.S. and later graduated from Kailua H.S. while stationed in Hawaii with the U.S.M.C. Bill earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was a Lance Corporal in the U.S.M.C. specializing in Intelligence, Leadership and Atomic Defense. Bill worked for Clermont National Bank, Bank One, 5/3, Farmers & Merchants Bank, and then at Charlie Watson Ford, Terry Lee Chevrolet, and finally retiring from Sierra Chevrolet. He was a longtime member of Clifton, Northeast, Centerville, and Cornerstone C of C!
Bill was a Kentucky Colonel and a Dale Carnegie graduate. In retirement he became a member of the Military Order of the Devil Dogs. Bill also took up woodcarving and won many Blue Ribbons and recently began oil painting at Olde Masters Galleria. Bill was also a bird lover and enjoyed tennis, golf, and snow skiing, and riding in his red Miata convertible, and being in the Miami Valley Miata Club.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful bride, June Carol (Chumbley), parents and sister, Beverly Plank. Bill is survived by his son, Richard (Lisa) Hamon; daughter, Michelle (Jerry) Lowery; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tony) Workman, Mitchell Rogers, Nicole Meeker, and Alexa (Wesley) Clutter; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews, and 1 niece. Family will greet friends 10-11AM on Saturday, January 22 at Cornerstone Church of Christ, 5051 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH 45440. Memorial Services will begin at 11AM.
