William Rader Crawford

CRAWFORD, William Rader, age 84, formerly of Oakwood and Venice, FL, passed away Friday, February 27, 2004 at Crestview Manor in Beavercreek. William was the owner/operator of the Crawford Shoe Store of Dayton for over 35 years. He was a member of the Dayton Rotary Club and the Dayton Retail Merchants Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen, January 1, 2003. William is survived by his daughters, Ellen Walters and her husband Steve of Oakwood, and Ann Hager and her husband Robert of Dodge City, KS; son, William Crawford Jr. and his wife Janet, of Richmond, VA; sister, Elizabeth Koefed of Venice, FL, and 5 grandchildren, Bryan King, and Kelly Radack of Denver, CO; Andrew, Kathleen, and Laura Walters of Oakwood; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 1, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving, with Rev. Melanie Williams officiating. Inurnment in Woodland Cemetery. In memory of William, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Miami Valley Area, and 24 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402.
