THOMPSON, Barbara “Ann”, age 91, of Washington Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Ann was born on March 6, 1934, to the late Charles and Clara Cunningham, in Harrodsburg, KY. She grew up in Danville, KY and graduated from Junction City high school, where she met the love of her life, Harold Thompson. When Harold enlisted with the US Army they moved together and lived for a year in Panama during his deployment. Upon their return to the states, they settled in Cincinnati, eventually making their way up to the Dayton area, where they started their family in 1958. When Harold started his own company, Applied Processors, Ann was right by his side, helping with accounting for many years. She was an avid gardener and for years maintained a small plot of land where she
nurtured all types of flowers and vegetables. Her most important calling was to serve the church in many capacities, most recently at First Baptist Kettering. Her generous and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband of 70 years, Harold Thompson.
Ann is survived by her son, Jeff (Tammy) Thompson; grandchildren, Josh Thompson, Nathan (Amy) Thompson, Brittany (JT) Tomlin; great-grandchildren, Jaxin, Penelope, Brooklyn, Layla, Brody, Xander, and Willow; sister, Irene Smith; and numerous extended family and friends.
A visitation for both Ann and Harold will be held from 10-11am, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at First Baptist Kettering, Sugarcreek Campus, 3939 Swigart Rd. Sugarcreek Township, OH 45440, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
