Holloway, Anna Lucille (Lucy), age 94, of Centerville, OH, passed away March 26, 2026. Lucy graduated from Buford High School and was awarded a scholarship to attend Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, where she earned her RN degree. She was a dedicated nurse at Miami Valley Hospital for over 35 years and retired as a Nursing Coordinator.
After retiring from Miami Valley Hospital, her passion for nursing led her to continue her service at Kettering Medical Center for a few additional years. Throughout her career, she was known for her high standards, strong leadership and unwavering support of her team. Nursing came naturally to her; it was more than a profession; it was a calling. She took pride in the quality of care her patients received.
After retirement, she & her husband flipped ugly houses before it was a “thing”. They also traveled extensively and never turned down time to spend with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lucy also loved gardening, reading and anything to do with family. She loved GOD and was an active member of Morningstar Baptist Church.
Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Holloway; parents Emma Setty (mother) and Arthur Setty (stepfather) and John Hopkins (father) and Mary Hopkins (stepmother); granddaughter, Carly Tinkerbell Granger; sisters, Shirley Fauber (Delmar), Norma Surfus (Marvin) and Jean Wallingford (Walter); brothers Ralph Hopklins (Shirley), Johnny Hopkins (Pat) and Joe Hopkins (Marcie). Lucy is survived by brothers Bobby Hopkins (Karen), Jerry Hopkins (Linda) and Tom Hopkins (Judy); children Charlotte Holloway and Janice (Bob) Trick; grandchildren Jimmy Brooks, Hollie Schneider, William Trick (Michelle) and Daniel Trick (Kristin); great grandchildren Carly Schneider, Hayden Schneider, Samuel Trick, Brie Trick and Baby Trick arriving 10/26 and many treasured nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will take place at Routsong Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (2100 E Stroop RD, Kettering Ohio 45429) on Friday, April 3rd at 11 am with funeral to follow at 12.
