Anna Mae Maurice

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna Maurice, age 101, of Kettering, Ohio, who departed this life on June 21, 2025. Born on March 7, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, Anna was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Anna Bova.

A proud graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Class of 1942, Anna began her career as a seamstress, showcasing her remarkable talent and creativity. She later embraced her role as a devoted homemaker after marrying Milton Maurice, with whom she shared a loving partnership and raised three beloved children.

Anna was a lifelong member of Kappa Delta Phi, where she forged lasting friendships and participated actively in her community. Her family will fondly remember her joyful spirit during family cookouts and summer evenings filled with laughter. Renowned as a skilled card player, particularly in Tripoli, she was always the life of the gathering.

In addition to her family, Anna took great pleasure in sewing for those around her, selflessly creating garments and items for friends and members of her church community. Her artistry and commitment to family life were hallmarks of her cherished existence.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband Milton, parents Joseph and Anna, sons Philip, Mark, Daniel. She is survived by her sister Nita Hart, and many nieces and nephews, who she adored.

A visitation will be held Thursday June 26, 2025 from 9:30-10:30am with a Funeral mass immediately following at 10:30am, the location is St. Charles Borromeo Parish (4500 Ackerman Blvd Dayton, Oh 45429). Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating her vibrant life and sharing memories of love and joy.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to family, which will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
