Colonel, (Ret.), age 85, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2003. He attended Coe College receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Iowa State receiving his Master of Science degree in Zoology. Arden worked and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years of service working mostly in Research and Development. He served three tours at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Arden served during WWII spending time in Okinawa and most of his time stateside at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Washington, DC. Preceded in death by his parents; sister; 2 brothers and 1 sister who died in infancy; 1 granddaughter. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Marie; 3 daughters, Susan (Ed) Hosbach, Judith (Joe) Must, and Rebecca (Craig) Davidson; step-children, Wayne (Lynne) Gouge, and Sharon (Ralph) Marlow; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and other special family members and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 14, 2003, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Chaplain Kent Schmidt officiating. Burial in Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Family will greet friends from 5:30-7:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
